Newsletter 29th March 2026

Well if you are anything like me, you haven’t been far today. The fire is on and cookies have been baked. A rainy Sunday is the perfect excuse to take it slow and potter. One of my all time favourite things to do - potter at home.

It was a different story last weekend as we rose bright and early for a beauty of a walk up Mam Tor. Every now and then I organise a walk for our Yoga community to join as an opportunity to chat, catch up, get to know each other better and explore the local landscape together. As I left home there was nothing but mist but as luck had it, this quickly cleared and we had the most amazing views from the summit. It really was one of those wow moments that I won’t forget with Claire and Chloe for a long time! If you regularly come along to class and would like to join us for a walk sometime, let me know and I’ll add you to the Yoga Community WhatsApp group.

Sunday was also a busy day as I offered ‘From Root to Crown’ with Charlotte from Homestead Herbal. It was a great morning spent with a lovely group of people exploring the 7 main chakras and how Yoga and herbal medicine can support balance through this vital energy system for wellness. The feedback was amazing with lots of requests for the workshop to be offered again so if you missed it, do not fear. We plan a similar session in the Autumn.

With Easter just around the corner, we have some class updates. I’m heading off to Wales to finalise details of our Return to Nature Yoga Retreat so there will be no class on Thursday 2nd April or Monday 6th April due to the bank holiday. All other classes running as usual through the holidays so hope to see you there for our last few sessions with our Hello Spring theme. Our next evening Yoga theme is set to begin from 13th April which will carry us through the Earth festival of Beltane towards the Summer Solstice. Expect more standing flow as we blossom into our full being!

Our next Earth School Staffordshire Moorlands session is now open for booking:

Moving together through the Seasons.
Saturday 25th April 1.30pm - 3pm at Wetley Rocks VH.

Join our Wisdom Keepers - Laura Heath and Nicola Herd for a nourishing afternoon of dance, movement, relaxation and embodied exploration.

Together we will create a welcoming space to gently shake off the winter cobwebs, awaken our senses and move with the natural rhythms of life: rediscovering the simple joy of being fully at home in our bodies.

Throughout the session you will be sensitively guided as we explore the energy of the seasons through music, imagination and movement. Invitations and creative prompts will be offered to support you in experimenting with how your body wishes to move. This is not about getting it “right”; it is about moving your way, at your pace, to your own inner rhythm. There will be space for spontaneity, curiosity, connection and fun.

We offer a grounding, intuitive and embodied approach to movement, encouraging participants to listen deeply to their bodies, trust their impulses and find confidence in authentic expression. Our facilitation supports both gentle exploration and joyful release.

The session will unfold as a cyclical journey through the seasons, with music and movement suggestions reflecting the qualities of each one. We will begin and end in Winter, returning to your personal “nest”;  a cosy space for rest, reflection and integration. Please bring blankets and yoga mats if you have them.

Creative expression will also be part of the experience, offering an opportunity to bring your seasonal journey to life through colour and simple art-making.

This session is open to families, and individual adults. Exchange: £15 per adult. £5 per child.
If you would like to join us, please let me know.

For those who have been with me for a while, you may well remember Nurture Well - Yoga for Mums and Massage for Baby. Well it has recently been rebirthed as I listen to my heart to make more of what I offer specific for Women and their journey through the many thresholds of life from Maiden, Mother to Matriarch.

Nurture Well is now a workshop day that aims to support Women as they transition from Pregnancy to Motherhood. A tricky terrain if ever there was one! I remember it well - lots of support through Pregnancy for then it all to feel like it disappeared when baby arrived. I’m hoping Nurture Well will help to bridge the gap. Offering ideas on how Postnatal Yoga can support you in those early months of Motherhood and passing on Baby Massage tools to use from birth. All the information can be found on my website and seen on the poster below. Please do share with any pregnant women you feel may benefit.
