Yoga Retreats

Reviews from past Yoga retreats with Natalie:

'Natalie’s retreats are always thoughtfully and lovingly prepared – and serendipitously turn out to be what you need at the time. She provides a safe, welcoming and friendly space for you to relax, reflect and grow. The accommodation is cosy, the food nourishing and the activities wonderfully crafted to nurture you on your journey (from yoga flows to meditations, soul enquiries and fun, crafting activities). Everyone needs to experience the benefits of one of Natalie’s retreats.’ - Emma

‘I just wanted to say I loved the retreat again and think I got even more out of it this time. I feel that over the past week I really have been prioritising self-care more and I'm eating and drinking less rubbish and picking up my running a bit more. I'm also heading to bed earlier and resting a bit more (boys allowing!) And I feel the increase in sleep and rest has made a big difference over the last 7 or 8 days... I hope I can keep it up! I have loved all the retreats I have been on with you and think I could still get lots out of another ... even if just not to let habits slip and keep the focus on what I want my life to look like.’ - Claire

‘I had the pleasure of attending Natalie’s ‘First Stirrings of Spring’ retreat recently. It was the most incredible experience with a group of wonderful women. We did it all - yoga, meditation, journaling, walking, crafting, getting close to nature, hot tubbing, star gazing, eating lovely food, dancing and singing! We laughed and cried together, supporting each other.
It felt very empowering to share openly with others in a safe space and feel a sense of community and the support that comes with that. The whole retreat had a very positive impact on my mental health and well as my physical health.
Natalie really made it feel special and helped everybody to feel at ease throughout our time together. It was very relaxed, and there was a good mix of planned activities and down time.
The setting was perfect. The accommodation itself was very luxurious. The surrounding area was beautiful, especially with all the snowdrops. And I also loved reconnecting to my inner child on the rope swing!
Thank-you so much Natalie for providing this opportunity and being a true inspiration. I will treasure my memories of this retreat forever and already cannot wait until the next one.’ - Holly

Weekend Yoga retreats in the Peak District, Derbyshire Dales and Wales.

Our weekend Yoga retreats give you the space and time you need to fully step away from the pressures of day to day life and turn your awareness to your self. We understand here at Love & Light Yoga with Natalie, that you cannot give from an empty cup so our retreats are lovingly designed to replenish and nourish you so you can step back out into the World feeling clearer, well rested and nurtured.

Over the course of the year, we visit beautiful locations in the Peak District, the Derbyshire Dales and Wales - all carefully selected to ensure your weekend is comfortable and as relaxed as possible. The venues that we use, tend to be remote and surrounded by Nature. There is something so special about opening your window and hearing the river flowing outside, or stepping out to views of vast Moorland and rugged hills.

Nature connection is a common theme through our retreats so alongside our Yoga and guided meditations, expect walks and time spent outdoors, crafting and creative time, ceremony and ritual and time of course to connect to each other.

Our groups are intimate with a maximum of 10 attending a retreat. Beginners to Yoga are welcome as are the well practiced.

A variety of styles of Yoga are offered depending on what is aligned with the theme of the retreat. Past themes have included: Mothering the Mother, The First Stirrings of Spring, From the Roots We Rise, Escape to the Hills and Finding Your True North. Photos from all of these can be found on our gallery page.

Many special memories and connections have been made on our retreats. We come away feeling truly seen, heard and supported. It is always a privilege for me to hold the space and see the connections last for many years to come.

If you would like to join us for an upcoming Yoga Retreat, please check out our events page or send an email to natalieblakeman@hotmail.co.uk

I try to make the retreats accessible to many, so the exchange varies from £295 for the weekend to £445 depending on location.

‘I went on my first yoga retreat with Natalie and I wasn't sure what to expect. I went with an open heart and mind and what can say - it was a truly peaceful, calming experience, shared with like-minded people. I think it’s been a long time since I have felt such an inner peace like I felt that weekend. I know returning back to everyday life that the peace may diminish but I know I can find it again. It was a very thought provoking experience. Filled with laughter, love, tears and amazing food and company.

Lovely memories made and shared. I would defiantly give the experience a go if you have never attended a yoga retreat before with Natalie.’ - Louise
