Spring is in the air, can you feel it? The weather is still pointing towards Winter but the energy feels different…something is stirring and on its way! Seeing my first daffodil bloom has confirmed that for me!
I’m excited for Spring, like many of you are too when I asked around last week’s class, but I also feel a tinge of grief that it’s over. I like the dark and getting cosy at home. I like the slower pace. I know some of you have enjoyed the slow rhythm too with our Winter Yoga practice. There were a few ‘ahh’s around the room when I announced we were moving on to our next 6 week evening Yoga theme as of this Tuesday and it’s going to hold a Spring energy!
Expect to start to shake off some of those Winter cobwebs with a good Spring clean for the body.
I asked our Thursday class if there was anything particular they would like to focus on during upcoming themes and I had some great feedback including a focus on upper body strength for us Women, core work, asana and pranayama for migraines and flowing sequences do the body. Our weekly Yoga classes are for you - they are a community practice so if you would like a future class with a certain focus please do let me know. All ideas welcome!
Work on the boiler is still not complete at Werrington VH so we are back at Caverswall & Cookshill VH this Monday 23rd February and our Pregnancy Yoga class is running from here too on Sunday 22nd February. Thank you to everyone who has continued to come along to class during this time. I really do appreciate your support and can’t wait to be back at Werrington to have a full catch up with everyone.
We had a great Earth School Staffordshire Moorlands event last night on Conscious Communication. It really highlighted for me the importance of listening and being listened too and the impact that has on how we feel. Lots of useful skills picked up here, especially around body wisdom and just how much our body is wanting us to thrive. I’ll be weaving in segments of what I’ve learnt from this during our meditations for sure.
Our next Earth School Staffordshire Moorlands session is not that long away - Saturday 7th March we welcome Mark Westmoquette - a Zen teacher and astrophysicist who is going to lead us through an evening of Mindful Stargazing! Mark visited us last year and the event was so successful that we just had to offer it again. Booking is now open for adults and families alike. Full details can be found on the poster below.
This is our last call for any Pregnant Goddesses out there who would like to join us for our upcoming Pregnancy Yoga classes. We begin this Sunday 6.30pm. Please do get in touch for all the details. just dropping into your inbox firstly to give you an important class update for today.
