Earth School Staffordshire Moorlands: Love Your Gut!

Earth School Staffordshire Moorlands invites you to join…

Love Your Gut!

Friday 30th January 6.30pm - 8pm at Cheddleton CC, ST13 7LF.

For this session we are joined by Wisdom Keepers Lily - a dietician who specialises in gut health and the microbiome, and chef - Elle who loves to create high fibre, nutritiously dense meals that taste amazing.

Come along and bring your apron as Lily guides us through the science and background to great gut health and Elle leads a live cookery workshop where we get hands on to create some delicious delights to take home.

Here’s what we will cover and a little bit about our Wisdom Keepers:

• The tell-tale signs your gut is calling for help: from stubborn bloating and low energy to unexpected shifts in mood, focus, and skin health.

• Why your gut is the secret powerhouse of your body: influencing immunity, inflammation, hormones, mental wellbeing, and so much more.

• How to support your gut with realistic, science-backed nutrition and lifestyle strategies that boost vitality from the inside out.

Here’s a little note from Lily, our dietitian for the event:

Hi, I'm Lily, a registered dietitian with a deep passion for gut health and empowering people to take charge of their wellbeing. I trained at the University of Nottingham, where I completed an integrated master’s degree, and went on to work at Royal Stoke. There, I supported countless patients living with conditions influenced by long-term lifestyle and nutrition habits. Seeing the impact these conditions had on individuals and families inspired me to shift my focus toward prevention, working with the community to help people understand their bodies, nourish their gut, and make choices that support long-term health and vitality. I am based in Leek, and have a clinic which is mostly virtual in order to make myself and my knowledge accessible to all. I offer 1:1 consultations which allows me to delve into your medical history, diet, gut and hormone health to create a personalised nutrition plan to ensure you're meeting your unique requirements. I also offer group educational sessions delving into the gut microbiome, hormone health and more!

And a note from Elle, our chef:

Hello everyone, I’m Elle, a chef and a big foodie with a passion for making delicious food. I have been running a professional kitchen for the last 6 years and I run my own catering company, Eat Your Heart Out. I’m now thrilled to be opening my own premises where I’ll be serving super tasty, nutritionally balanced food, cold pressed juices and smoothies. I love creating dishes using great ingredients this means locally and sustainably sourced and nothing ultra-processed.

Through these workshops, I’ll be sharing my passion for high-fibre, nutritionally dense cooking alongside my extremely knowledgeable friend Lily, a dietitian, and together we hope to get people eating healthier and feeling amazing! I can’t wait to share my recipes with you all, let’s get cooking!
